Tarotpy® (Tarot Psychotherapy), An Innovative Approach to Depth Psychotherapy Based on teachings from Joseph Campbell and James Hillman
Saturday, May 17th, 2025
Tarot and Psychology are currently trending! Come learn a revolutionary method of Depth Psychotherapy with a theoretical focus on the work of James Hillman and Joseph Campbell. Pioneered in 1983, Tarotpy® integrates psychotherapy – including hypnotherapy, Systemic Therapy, Eco-therapy, and dreamwork – with the rich symbolic imagery of Tarot, Dream Cards, Soul Cards, and other archetypal images. Image, the root of imagination, is the language of the unconscious. Engaging with archetypal imagery activates hidden, often inaccessible unconscious resources and stimulates the intuitive and imaginative faculties. Tarotpy is a highly effective protective tool: we approach the images without preconceived definitions. By tracking the unconscious process, images mirror the deeper Self. Insights and creative solutions arise spontaneously from this co-creative process with the material.
On the other hand, there seems to be an invisible mastermind at play whenever someone selects so-called random images with uncanny correspondence to their concerns. Synchronicity is a powerfully healing moment that engenders a sense of connection to our innermost being and something greater than ourselves. The closer we are to the imaginal realm by incorporating divination tools, the more transparent we are to its intelligence. Synchronicity transcends the mundane and touches on something mysterious, enchanting, and powerful.
